Fairbairn Dam is an integral part of the Central Highlands. Beyond its foundational role in regional water security, the precinct holds significant social, recreational and historical value for our local residents, businesses and visitors.
As an independent, profit-for-purpose delivery platform, CHRRUP is facilitating early conversations to ensure our community has a voice in shaping the long-term vision for the precinct. We exist to build regional capacity, solve cross-sector challenges and bring people together to drive enduring social and economic prosperity.
WHY WE ARE FORMING A WORKING GROUP
The proposed Community Working Group aims to bring together a diverse range of perspectives from across the Central Highlands. By gathering input from residents, local businesses, recreational users and community organisations, we can build a shared understanding of regional priorities.

No Confirmed Projects. At this stage, there are no approved projects or construction plans associated with this initiative.

No Funding Commitments. There are currently no confirmed funding allocations or implementation commitments tied to this Expression of Interest.

Exploratory Phase. The purpose of this process is simply to identify individuals and organisations who wish to participate in future conversations and explore what may be possible through collaboration.

Future Approvals. Any future opportunities or projects will be subject to detailed assessment, statutory approvals and available resources.
